Paper broken back down to cellulose fibers
- Used for production of recycled paper
- Fibers can not be recycled endlessly
- During recycling, fibers are shortened
- Fibers are recycled 4 - 7 times
- Fibers cannot be used for paper anymore past this
- These short cellulose bits & fibers end up in what is called paper sludge
- Can be used as fertilizer
Cellulose bubble / wadding breaks down similarly to the paper process
- Broken down same time as paper
- Becomes part of the ‘slurry’
